The security situation continues to degenerate. The Israeli's continue to use their advantages in intelligence collection (monitoring Palestinians with electronic devices) and weapons (helicopter gunships with nigh vision and guided missiles) to pick off key members of Palestinian militant groups (particularly those involved in suicide bombings.) The Palestinians continue to attempt bombings, but Israel keeps going after the leaders of the bombing organizations; killing at least fifty in the last ten months. This accounts for the increasing number of failed suicide bombings and accidental explosions of bombs while they are being put together. One such explosion today killed six members of a Palestinian Authority intelligence unit (an outfit not noted for having a lot of bomb experts.)
